Overnighting on the Beer Trail  BOOKANDSAVEDUPE2

.
STAY IN A HOTEL THAT DATES TO 1600s. Enjoy the comfort of a snug family-run lodge in the Alps. Spend one night in a monastery and the next night in a castle…

.
While no one goes on a trip just for the hotels, where you stay at night is important. We go the extra mile to find accommodations that reflect the history and culture of the region and give you a sense of place.
.
This tour features distinctive, comfortable inn and hotels. They’re hand-picked and most of them are family-operated. We strive for the best combination of service, value, atmosphere and quality. All rooms include private bath and most of the hotels have internet access. We think you’ll like them. Here’s a peek at three of them.   Reserve Detailed Itinerary

Raitenbuch Castle

.
Once the stronghold of the “Knights of Raitenbuch,” the castle was built in the 1600s in the center of Kallmünz and is one of the most imposing buildings in the old town.
Raitenbuch is a stone’s through from Kallmünz’s lovely Rococo church — it’s also an easy starting point for a stroll through the town and a look at the Naab River, which runs through it. The castle was meticulously restored by our hosts and has protected status. Each room is unique.

Kumbichl Inn

.
The Kumbichl blends “cozy Alpine” with real comfort and charm. The four-storey country house has a deep overhanging roof with balconies that span the front and sides. The rooms are decorated in a laid-back Alpine style, and are very inviting.
You can purge your jet lag with a sauna or steambath in the evening and enjoy a copious breakfast in the morning. Our hosts, the Kröll family, operate the local dairy and they pride themselves on their mountain cheeses, made with silage-free, natural milk from exceedingly happy cows.

Scheyern Abbey Beer Tour www.treasuresofeuropetours.com
Scheyern Abbey
.
“Come for the beer and stay for the night.” Located in the hops-growing district of central Bavaria, Scheyern dates to the 1100s and is home to a group of Benedictine monks. Hotel Schyrenhof, the abbey guesthouse, is located directly across from the brewery, within the walls of the monastery.
You’ll enjoy the relaxed, peaceful atmosphere — the rooms are simple and comfortable. Sample the abbey beers in the basement Bierstube or outside Biergarten in the evening and don’t worry about the trip home. Your bed is only a few steps away.  Back to the main Beer Tour page.
